Composed of PET substrate, smart chip and induction antenna through precision lamination, it is mainly divided into two mainstream types: dry adhesive-free and wet adhesive-backed. Supporting multiple frequency band specifications including UHF, HF and NFC, it serves as the essential base material for manufacturing various RFID tags and smart cards. Featuring lightweight, flexible and high compatibility, it supports fast contactless reading, multi-tag batch reading, stable data storage, strong anti-interference capability and excellent durability, and can be custom cut to fit diverse application scenarios. Q1: What is your RFID prelam? What material is it made of?

A1: Our RFID prelam (pre-laminated sheet) is a semi-finished core material with an RFID Prelam already embedded between plastic layers. It is ready for card manufacturers to print, laminate and convert into finished RFID cards. Standard material is PVC, and we also offer PET, PETG or PC according to your requirements. The surface is flat, smooth and dust-free, which gives stable printing and lamination results.

 

Q2: Which frequencies and chips can you support?

A2: We support all main RFID frequencies and ICs: - LF 125 kHz: EM4100, EM4200, T5577, etc. - HF 13.56 MHz: NXP MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, Plus, DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3, Ultralight, NTAG213/215/216, ICODE SLIX, etc. - UHF 860–960 MHz: Impinj Monza series, NXP UCODE series, etc. Dual-frequency combinations are also available. Please tell us your chip model and application, and we will supply the correct prelam for your card.

 

Q3: What sheet sizes and layouts (cards per sheet) do you offer?

A3: We supply standard panel sizes and popular layouts such as 2x4, 2x5, 3x6, 3x7, 3x8, 4x5, 4x6, 4x7, 4x8, 4x10, 5x5, 6x7,6x8 cards per sheet, normally to fit the standard CR80 card size of 85.6 x 54 mm per ISO 7810. Custom sheet sizes and card layouts are available on request.

 

Q4: What thickness can you make, and how does it match a finished card?

A4: Common prelam core thicknesses are 0. 3mm, 0. 35mm, 0. 4mm, 0. 45mm, 0. 50mm,0.55mm and 0. 60mm, and customized thickness is available. We control the thickness tightly to help you reach the standard finished card thickness of 0.76 mm (ISO 7810 ID-1) after adding your printed overlay films and final lamination. Please tell us your target finished card thickness and layer structure, and we will recommend the correct core thickness.

 

Q5: What is your MOQ?

A5: Our MOQ is normally 【500 sheets / 1,000 sheets / 3,000 sheets per layout】, depending on the chip type, Prelam design and material. For first-time trial orders we can be more flexible, so please contact us with your target quantity for a confirmed quotation.

 

Q6: Do you provide samples? What is the sample cost and delivery time?

A6: Yes, samples are available. We can supply free samples with freight paid by the buyer, or paid samples including freight, depending on the quantity and destination. Samples normally take 【3–5 working days】 to prepare. Mass production lead time is about 【7–15 working days】 after sample approval and deposit confirmation.

 

Q7: Can we print on the prelam and use our normal card lamination process?

A7: Yes. Our prelam is designed for standard card production: reverse printing or overlay-film printing can be applied on top, followed by final lamination and punching. The RFID Prelam area is completely flat, so it will not cause deformation or bubbles. We will provide our recommended lamination temperature, pressure and time to protect the chip and antenna during final lamination.

 

Q8: Do your products meet international standards and certifications?

A8: Yes. Our prelam is produced to meet ISO 7810 (card size and physical characteristics) and works with ISO 14443 / ISO 15693 / ISO 18000 RFID protocols. Materials are RoHS and REACH compliant. If you need specific certification documents (e.g., test reports) for your market or end customer, we can provide them upon request.
